Traditional rearview mirrors are limited by the vehicle’s structure, resulting in a restricted field of view. This limitation is especially evident during driving, as the vehicle’s body and pillars block the view, leaving side blind zones that can pose safety hazards.

In contrast, the in-vehicle electronic side-view mirror system uses a camera mounted on the A-pillar or side of the vehicle. This placement provides a broader field of view. The camera captures images displayed on a monitor within the driver’s line of sight, allowing the driver to see the vehicle’s side and surroundings clearly. This effectively eliminates the problem of side blind zones.

Under normal driving conditions, when drivers wish to focus on the road ahead, they can switch the Electronic Rearview Mirror to full-screen mode with a simple touch-screen operation. In this way, drivers can get a wider and clearer view of the road ahead, so that they can better perceive road conditions, obstacles and traffic conditions to ensure driving safety.

And in cases where special attention needs to be paid to the rear environment, such as backing up and parking, in full-screen mode, the driver is able to look more deeply into the rear blind spot to ensure the accuracy and safety of the backing up operation.
